If the WiFi driver is missing or the network adapter is not working well on your Windows 10 computer, you can manually download and install the Windows 10 WiFi driver on your PC. Check how to download and install WiFi driver in Windows 10.

If you are trying to update to the Windows 10 November 2019 Update (Windows 10, version 1909), the Windows 10 May 2019 Feature Update (Windows 10, version 1903), or the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (Windows 10, version 1809), you may encounter an update compatibility hold and receive the message, "Qualcomm wifi driver: Your PC has a driver that isn't ready for this version of Windows 10. A new version is available."

It should default to your Documents folder, if this is where you saved the drivers then just select the Next button. If you did not save the drivers to your Documents folder, select the Browse button and find the folder you downloaded the drivers to and select OK.

An out-of-date or corrupted wireless driver could prevent you from connecting your PC to the Internet. If the wireless driver is the culprit, reinstalling it will get you back online in minutes. First, download the latest version of the driver using a wired Internet connection. At that point you can safely remove the current driver in the Device Manager, allowing you to do a clean installation.

When I go into HP to download a wifi driver, I can't download a driver because my computer now has Windows10 (along with most of the world) and my computer came with Windows 8. HP support states "If you do not see the version of your operating system (OS) listed, HP does not have any downloadable software or drivers for your product."

You can also download and install the latest version of the Wi-Fi driver from the manufacturer's website. For example, if you use an Intel Wi-Fi adapter, you can download the newer drivers from Intel's Download Center.

Additionally, you can also use your computer manufacturer's companion app to download new drivers. For example, Lenovo's Vantage and HP's Support assistant let you scan for new drivers and install them directly from the app.

The Samsung Update app allows you to download and install recommended apps and drivers for your Samsung PC. It is usually preinstalled on Samsung PCs, but you can download it from the Microsoft Store if you don't see it.

On your PC, select Start, and then select Settings. Select Update & Security or Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. If Windows finds updates, they will download and install automatically. In some cases, drivers may be considered an optional update, but it's recommended to install them.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: if your computer cannot locate the driver to update at this point you will need to download it from the manufacturer. If you are unable to connect to the internet with an ethernet cable, you will need to download the driver onto a usb flash drive so that you can select it and manually update.

1. Determine which driver you will need for your computer. You can usually search for the driver on the manufacturers website or searching the internet. Make sure to only download the driver from the manufacturers site or a site you trust.

After I installed windows 10 manually, the flash drive that had the install files doesn't show anything. So if there were any bootcamp drivers installed on it, well I'll never know. In the meantime, my network adapter problem has been solved. I clicked on 'network controllers' and asked it to update the drivers. I chose Broadcom 802.11.n driver (Sam above suggested the broadcom adapter) and so far it has worked.

This sounds really really stupid, perhaps I didn't even have this problem but I tried everything on the forums (uninstalling the network adapter, downloading new drivers from the support, hibernation/sleep, various coding)...but I clicked "multilingual Canadian english"(we spell things differently from time to time).... After 6 hours of research that is pretty darn stupid. Little did I know I should have simply stuck with the american keyboard... #makeamericagreatagain ?

From the Medion website I downloaded all the driver installation packages. The wireless driver is some 300 MB installer that also installs some (apparently useless) extra software to manage wireless networks. After installing the driver and all the additional software, the furthest I get is this:

On my system this is 100% replicable. All i have to do is create a bootcamp install of windows 10 64 bit. Install visual studio keep defaults. download and install the Xamarin for Visual Studio keep defaults.

I noticed that the WiFi was not working and was reporting a code 10 with issues with oem180.inf on the vwifibus. At 7:36am it reported an error on the event viewer that the network adapter has reported an invalid value to the driver, followed by the bluetooth error flagged 2 seconds later. From some detective work I noticed that it tried to do a windows update at 22:13 (9 hours before) on "intel extension 22.1120.0.1" but failed:

I have spent a day trying to remedy this but to no avail, done a complete driver uninstall, network reset, windows update, hard shutdown press, restore point and nothing has worked the only change I noticed was that it no longer reported an unknown USB device and now instead reports a problem with the bluetooth device as in link 3. Tried driver easy and brought PRO version as well out of frustration and it still doesn't work. Messed around with all the advanced WiFi settings, such as changing bands, output power, SMPS modes and that doesn't make a difference, nor does whether it is on battery or not like before with the graphics card usage.

I have also noticed that the driver update tool from intel does not seem to update the driver, even though the software does tell me it has installed the latest version 22.140.0 and I cant seem to get it past the 2018 version and that is only achieved through updating the driver through the optional windows updates.

I just registered to also confirm the issue is real, and happens in HP Gaming laptops as well, with Realtek Gaming Gbpe Ethernet Devices, which Windows 11 seems to force updating in Windows Update using "Realtek - Net - 1.0.0.23 (Driver Update)", then we need to revert back every time to previous driver (the one from HP supports download page which is SP111133 for me at least, owning a HP Pavillion Gaming 16-a0033ns). Hope this helps someone too and that this issue is fixed! It seems this is not happening in Windows 10, so W10 with latest Realtek drivers seems to be working, the issue is only in W11! (so strange btw)...

I am using a Dell WD19s docking station. After reading this I tried updating to a newer driver version 8/23/2022 1153.9.823.2022 and it does not work. In Device Manager I Uninstalled the device and deleted the driver. Then refreshed devices and windows installed a driver version 4/19/2022 10.52.418.2022. The VPN will now connect.

Windows 11 with the last Realtek Gaming 2.5 Gbpe Ethernet Devices driver is having the problem only with VPN IPSEC, that is working only with vpnssl. Installing the lastest driver for windows 10 fix the problem with IPSEC.

Thanks! But I'm using current latest Forticlient VPN version 7.0.8.0427... any ideas where to get the installer for VPN version 7.0.2? I cannot find anywhere... :( so the only workaround for me is to keep using previous realtek drivers from HP drivers download page (not windows update latest version).

So there seems to be something unique about this specific internet connection which causes the Intel I225-V driver to crash. But it's not crash-inducing enough to crash the router, it only crashes this PC. Also, small or slow downloads don't trigger the bug. Only large and fast downloads do.
